Mosaic Table

The piece celebrates ‘mosaic,’ an inherently sustainable style dating back to Mesopotamia, the cradle of civilisation. It’s an homage to Gaudí’s Barcelona, and his specialised mosaic making technique ‘trencar.’ Equal parts of machine cutting and hand cutting practices were employed to divide waste tiles into regular pieces, and irregular remains of the same tiles were used to fill in gaps, giving way to a genuinely ‘zero-waste’ accent table.
